Since the beginning of 2023, the regulator has sold $12.4 billion in the interbank market, and bought only $177 million.
The National Bank of Ukraine sold nearly $533 million and bought $12.62 million between June 26 and 30. A total of $1.798 billion was sold in June, according to data from the regulator on Sunday, July 2.
The amount of money sold is growing for the third week in a row. Last week, $435.82 million was sold.
In total, since the beginning of the year, the NBU has sold $12.455 billion, and bought – $177.89 million. The negative balance grew to nearly $12.3 billion.
Recall that this week the National Bank decided to stabilize the currency exchange situation.
The regulator also reportedly eased some of the currency restrictions.
