The average dollar exchange rate in Ukraine fell by 5 kopecks and now stands at 37.30 Hryvnia, while the euro also sank by 5 kopecks to 41.00 Hryvnia.
The exchange rate of the hryvnia at the exchange offices of Ukraine at the beginning of the week rose slightly against the dollar and the euro. RBC-Ukraine reported this with reference to market monitoring data on Monday, June 26.
Today, the average dollar exchange rate in Ukraine decreased by 5 kopecks and reached 37.30 hryvnia. The euro also sank by 5 kopecks – up to 41.00 hryvnia per euro. In exchange offices, they buy the dollar at an average of 36.80 hryvnias, euros at 40.30 hryvnias.
The official dollar exchange rate of the NBU was fixed at 36.5686 hryvnia per dollar. On June 26, the official exchange rate of the euro fell slightly and reached UAH 39.7738 per euro (-0.4114 UAH).
Recall that last week the NBU sold $428 million in the interbank foreign exchange market, slightly reducing sales from reserves compared to last week ($436 million). Since the beginning of the year, the NBU has spent about $12 to maintain market balance.
It was also reported earlier that the National Bank has eased some of the currency restrictions.
