Auctions for the sale of large state properties for the period of martial law were blocked in June 2022.
The Rada abolished large-scale privatization on May 30th. The law allows the holding of privatization auctions for the sale of large state assets (large privatization), the possibility of restructuring the structure of the State Property Fund (SPFU) and determines the manager of the authorized property -property.
Under the new law, the president of the SPFU receives the sole right to appoint and dismiss representatives, and 12 regional branches will become structural units of the SPFU.
The State Property Fund, by decision of the Supreme Anti-Corruption Court, can receive properties subject to sanctions and make management decisions (privatization, sale, lease or management). Proceeds will be directed to the Fund for the Elimination of the Consequences of Armed Aggression.
In addition, the law prohibits authorized persons and citizens of aggressor countries from holding positions of heads of state enterprises and members of supervisory boards; canceled the procedure for linking directors of state enterprises to the management of the SPFU with local authorities; lifting restrictions on renting state property for the period of martial law.
