Since the beginning of 2023, the regulator has sold more than $11 billion in the interbank market, and bought only $146 million.
The National Bank of Ukraine this week sold more than $292 million and bought $15 million. This was confirmed by the regulator’s data on Saturday, June 10.
The amount of money sold was significantly lower than the number for the previous week, when nearly $470 million was sold.
In total, since the beginning of 2023, the regulator sold more than $11 billion in the interbank market, and bought only $146 million. The negative balance is just over $10.85 billion.
Recall that according to the results of May, the international reserves of Ukraine increased by 3.8% to $37.3 billion and updated the maximum for 11 years. Against this background, the NBU sold $1.9 billion in the foreign exchange market, which is 40.7% more than in April.
