The National Bank of Ukraine last week sold about $470 million in the interbank foreign exchange market and bought about $12 million. This was confirmed by the regulator’s data on Monday, June 5.

The amount of currency sold was slightly higher than last week, when $442 million was sold.
In total, since the beginning of 2023, the regulator sold $10.75 billion in the interbank market and bought $131 million. The negative balance was just over $10.6 billion.
Recall that in May, Ukrainians reduced the purchase of foreign currency to the lowest since August 2022. At the same time, the net purchase of foreign currency for the month was $158.6 million.
