The concept, called Steel Dream, has already been presented to local communities and at an architecture and construction business forum.

Company specialists Metinvest-SMC developed designs for 13 types of steel buildings. They can be built at least twice as fast as before, which is important when restoring the destroyed infrastructure in Ukraine. MMC Center reported this on Wednesday, May 31.

It is indicated that rapid construction will be possible thanks to three prefabricated steel elements (prefab solutions) – a frame, a module and a platform. Each type of building is made in several versions, taking into account different conditions and circumstances – thus, the population and communities can choose from more than 200 ready-made projects. concept called iron dream presented to local communities.

The concept provides projects for residential development (houses on 1-8 floors, a hostel, a hotel), social infrastructure (school, kindergarten, outpatient clinic), and infrastructure facilities (parking, sports complex and underground shelter).

One of the advantages of the presented solutions Metinvest, is the construction speed. For example, an eight-story building can be built in just nine months. A kindergarten – twice as fast as before.

Separately, a thorough work was carried out to create the concept of a high-quality shelter. The proposed underground shelter project is based on a platform, the shelter is designed for a long stay and provides maximum protection.

The iron dream will be presented to the communities of the affected regions, where, in fact, the project is directed. After receiving feedback from local authorities, adapt and improve the project, they plan to submit it to the national authorities.

Previously, the concept was presented at the architecture and construction BUSINESS FORUM “Restoration of Ukraine. A strategy of innovation for architects, developers and developers.” This proposal focused on tools and strategies for post-war reconstruction of war-torn infrastructure and housing, and there Steel Dream received favorable reviews.

According to preliminary data, since February 24, 2022, almost 18.5 thousand high-rise buildings and more than 142 thousand private estates have been destroyed or damaged in Ukraine. Medical institutions, schools and kindergartens, businesses, infrastructure facilities fell under enemy strikes.
