NBA Coach Explodes With Senators Over Gun Laws In Pregame Speech: ‘It’s Pathetic’

On Tuesday, Golden State Warriors coach Steve Kerr gave a passionate speech at a press conference, urging U.S. lawmakers to enforce gun control amid another mass shooting.

“I am tired of the moments of silence. “Enough,” the eight -time NBA champion said hours after a Texas elementary school shooter opened fire, killing at least 18 children and three adults. The shooting took place in Walwald, 350 miles southwest of Dallas, where the Warriors played Maverick on Tuesday night.

Kerr accused senators of refusing to vote on the House bill passed in 2019, which requires a general inspection of arms purchases. Even the poll shows more than 90% of Americans. By supporting the idea, it became difficult to sell it to elected Republicans, many of whom receive substantial campaign funding from gun lobbyists.

“So I ask you, Mitch McConnell, I ask all of you senators who refuse any violence, shootings in schools and supermarkets,” Kerr said.

I ask you: will you put your desire for power before the lives of our children, our elders and the followers of the Church? Because it looks like this. “

“We have 50 hostage senators in Washington who refuse to even vote, even if we want to, the Americans.”

Kerry was frustrated, raised his voice and punched MPs who accused them of rejecting the check bill because “they want to keep their power.”

“It’s sad. “You’re quite drunk,” he concluded before exiting the room abruptly.

Kerry’s family was destroyed by gun violence. His father was shot and killed in Beirut in 1984. He often uses his platform to talk about gun control.

The NBA also released a statement saying it was “damaged by the horrific shooting that took place in Uwald today.”

“We express our deepest condolences to the families and friends of the victims, to Robbie Elementary School and to the Board of Trustees,” the note read.
