The agreement on the safe export of Ukrainian grain to the Black Sea expires tomorrow, May 18.

On Wednesday, May 17, the last vessel will leave Ukraine as part of a grain deal that ensures the export of Ukrainian food. This was announced by a representative of the UN, writes Reuters.

The ship will leave the day before May 18, when the agreement expires, which has not yet been extended.

Recall that the last time Ukraine, Turkey, UN and Russia extended the grain agreement was in March 2023. Ukraine announced that the agreement was extended for 120 days. Russia says it has agreed to a 60-day extension, that is, until May 18.

Last week, negotiations began in Istanbul between Ukraine, Russia, Turkey and the UN to extend the grain corridor.

On May 11, the Turkish Ministry of Defense reported that the parties in Istanbul agreed to continue negotiations on an additional part of the grain agreement in the near future.

Against the background of the blockade of the Russian Federation of the work of the grain corridor, Ukrainian agricultural exports hit anti-records.
