He noted that the Russians have reported eight times on the “destruction” of all Ukrainian aviation, so yesterday the Air Force refused to comment on the statements of the Russian Ministry of Defense.
“Don’t worry about the fate of the Patriot… It is impossible to destroy the system with one kind of dagger. That’s why, everything they (the Russians) say stay in their propaganda archive,” Ignat emphasized.
The Air Force spokesman explained that the Patriot division has a radar and up to eight launchers, which are located separately from each other to ensure combat operations. Therefore, it is technically very difficult to hit him.
To recall, on May 16, the Russian Ministry of Defense said that a “high-precision strike” by a Kinzhal missile “destroyed” a Patriot air defense system in Kyiv.
CNN said, citing a US official, that the Patriot system was “probably damaged but not destroyed.”
