The exchange rate of the US dollar is growing for the second day in a row in the cash market of Ukraine. RBC-Ukraine reported this with reference to market monitoring data on Thursday, May 11.
Today, the dollar exchange rate on sale has increased by 5 kopecks – up to 37.85 hryvnia per dollar. The euro exchange rate also increased by 5 kopecks – to 41.65 hryvnia per euro.
In the cash market, the average dollar exchange rate is:

purchase – 37.35 UAH (37.30 – May 10)

sale – UAH 37.85 (37.80 – May 10) per dollar.
The average euro exchange rate is:

purchase – UAH 40.95 (UAH 40.90 – May 10),

sale – UAH 41.65 (41.60 – May 10) per euro.
The official fixed rate of the NBU is 36.5686 hryvnia per dollar (effective from July 21, 2022). At the same time, the euro exchange rate decreased slightly on May 11 and reached UAH 40.0444 per euro (-0.0439 UAH).
Recall that on May 9, the growth of the Hryvnia in the cash market stopped. Last week, the exchange rate of the national currency continued to strengthen in the exchange offices of Ukraine.
It was also reported that last week the National Bank reduced the sale of foreign currency by 40%.
