The World Trade Organization will consider at a ministerial conference on June 12-15 in Geneva the issue of unblocking Ukrainian ports, the Ministry of Economy reported on Tuesday, May 24.

“We are grateful for the personal efforts of the WTO Director General in finding a solution for the logistics of Ukrainian grain, which is very important for Ukraine, Africa and around the world. Free and fair trade will save the world from hunger and poverty, “said First Deputy Prime Minister – Economy Minister Yulia Sviridenko following a meeting with WTO Director General Ngozi Okonji -Iwela at the World Economic Forum.
During the meeting, the parties also agreed on areas of cooperation on the eve of the 12th ministerial conference.
As reported, Ukraine proposed to create an organization of grain exporting countries, which includes the major exporters of grain crops in the world-the United States, Canada, Brazil, Argentina, Ukraine and EU.
