Gas prices in Ukraine are falling for the seventh consecutive month, according to data from the Ministry of Economy.
The price of natural gas in Ukraine in April 2023 reached UAH 14,382.34 per 1,000 cubic meters without VAT, which is 23.0% lower than a month earlier. The Ministry of Economy reported this on Tuesday, May 9.
The average price of gas is calculated according to the formula for the purposes of the Tax Code of Ukraine on the collection of rent for the use of subsoil.
According to the ministry, the average price fell to a minimum since the beginning of calculating the indicator in March last year, then cost 29,391 Hryvnia per 1,000 cubic meters. Prices fell for the seventh month.
Recall that in March the cost of gas in Ukraine reached almost 18,700 Hryvnia per 1 thousand cubic meters without VAT, which is 9.9% lower than in February.
It also found that gas prices in the EU have fallen to the level of July 2021.
