The raised funds will allow the restoration of priority social expenditures of the state budget, the Ministry of Finance said.
The state budget of Ukraine received 189.32 million euros of financing from the World Bank. The funds were provided on preferential terms, according to the Ministry of Finance on Monday, May 8.
It is indicated that these funds were provided under the Financing Agreement for the project “Support for Public Expenditures to Ensure Sustainable Public Administration in Ukraine” between Ukraine and the International Development Association (IDA). The IDA loan has a maturity of 10 years with a 4-year grace period.
The funds will be used to partially pay the state budget expenditures made to ensure the compensation of employees of state bodies and teachers for February 2023. They will help ensure sustainable public administration in Ukraine.
Recall that in April the government’s foreign currency accounts at the National Bank received $5.8 billion, of which more than $2.707 billion was received under the newly expanded IMF financing program.
