According to the materials of the State Bureau of Investigation, almost three million dollars from bank accounts belonging to a sanctioned citizen of the Russian Federation were transferred to ARMA.

The court seized nearly three million dollars of a business owned by sanctioned Russian citizen Mikhail Voevodin and gave it to ARMA. The funds were kept in a Ukrainian bank, which is also controlled by a Russian citizen, president of the Russian football club CSKA, Yevgeny Giner, according to the State Bureau of Investigation.

During the pre-trial investigation, the Bureau also examines information about the legality of obtaining and using financial preferences in the amount of more than UAH 1.6 billion by a banking institution, the beneficial owner of which is a citizen of the Russian Federation.

Commenting on the identity of the beneficiary, the Prosecutor General’s Office added that he is a citizen of the Russian Federation – the president of the Russian football club CSKA and associated with the state corporation ROSTEKH, which supplies weapons, military equipment and ammunition for to the needs of the Armed Forces of Russia.

It has already been established that after the refinancing, the bank carried out multimillion-dollar financial transactions with businesses affiliated with Russian businessmen.

“Some of the “infusions” received by the institution after the start of the active phase of the conflict. The amount received is more than 50% of the assets of the bank itself and more than 5.5 times the size of the authorized capital,” the report said.

In Ukraine, Yevgeny Giner, Mikhail Voevodin and Alexander Babakov are non-public co-owners of a company that owns several oblenergos, hotels, shopping centers, agricultural enterprises and a bank.

Recall that earlier by the decision of the High Anti-Corruption Court of Ukraine, the assets of a citizen of the Russian Federation – 88.89% of the shares of a Ukrainian bank were recovered to the state.

In February, SBI officials raided the homes of board and supervisory board members, as well as the office of a commercial bank, of which Giner was the owner.

On November 11, 2022, the Pechersky District Court of Kyiv arrested shares in strategic Ukrainian businesses and securities, whose real owners may be persons controlled by officials and representatives of the Russian Federation.

By a decision of the National Security and Defense Council on October 19, 2022, the sanctions against Giner were applied for 10 years.
