During the month, the value of Ukraine’s debt increased in Hryvnia equivalent by UAH 143.23 billion and in dollar terms by $3.92 billion.
As of March 31, Ukraine’s state and state-guaranteed debt amounted to UAH 4,384.99 billion, or $119.91 billion. This is confirmed by data from the Ministry of Finance on Tuesday, May 2.
It was noted that in March the amount of Ukraine’s debt increased in hryvnia equivalent by 143.23 billion hryvnia and in dollar terms by 3.92 billion dollars.
“The amount of state and state-guaranteed debt is calculated in monetary form as the remaining nominal amount of debt obligations in credit currency (loan). The state and state-guaranteed debt are determined in hryvnias and US dollars at the rate of the National Bank of Ukraine on the last day of the reporting period and including transactions for today,” said the Ministry of Finance.
Recall that in January 2023, the volume of Ukraine’s public and guaranteed debt of Ukraine decreased by $590 million and reached just over $116 billion.
Earlier, the debt repayment calendar of Ukraine this year was published. In total, the country must pay more than $13 billion.
