People’s Deputy Geo Leros announced today that he won the case against the Verkhovna Rada on suspension from meetings. In February, at least until September, he was deprived of the right to participate in parliamentary sessions.
The reason was an incident in November 2021, when Leros asked the head of the SBU Ivan Bakanov during a meeting of the Council: “When will the Kremlin agent Andrei Yermak go to jail for high treason?”, and also showed the middle finger to the side where Yermak was sitting.
It is correct to emphasize that I won the trial against Zelensky and Yermak, who shamelessly “bent” the already “bent” parliament. Shame on everyone who voted for my illegal suspension. See you at work soon,” Leros wrote.
According to the regulations of the Verkhovna Rada, at the plenary session, the speaker should not use offensive statements or obscene words. In case of violation, the chairman warns him about the inadmissibility of such statements and appeals or stops his speech, in case of repeated violation, deprives him of the right to speak at this plenary session.
In March 2020, Leros said that Denis, the brother of then-presidential aide Andriy Yermak, was “barrying government positions,” and he accused President Volodymyr Zelensky of “merging with the old system” and violating election promises.
On September 2, 2020, Leros was expelled from the Servant of the People faction. Since then, he has been a non-factional deputy.
