Poland’s energy system now does not need additional electricity, says Ukrenergo.
On Monday morning, Ukraine suspended electricity exports to Poland. It is reported Ukrainergo May 1st.
“The export of electricity to Moldova continues. The export to Poland is not yet underway. The Polish energy system currently does not need additional electricity due to the decrease in consumption during the long holiday weekend,” said of the message.
It was also noted that low electricity imports from Slovakia continue.
SA Ukrainergo they added that yesterday, repair crews resumed the operation of the main electricity transmission line in the central region of Ukraine, which was damaged as a result of the Russian missile attack on Friday.
Today in Ukraine the production of electricity is enough to cover the consumption. Repairs are ongoing at many power units of thermal generation. Their capacities are compensated by the work of the main hydroelectric power stations, which work through the flood not only to cover the peaks of consumption in the morning and evening, but also throughout the day.
Power plants from renewable energy sources are actively working.
Recall that in mid-April, Ukraine resumed electricity exports to three countries – Slovakia, Poland and Moldova. But a few days later, exports to Slovakia stopped.
Then it became known why Slovakia stopped buying electricity from Ukraine. And the regulator decided that the checks were not scheduled Ukrainergo due to the stoppage of exports to Slovakia.
