A significant increase in the price of chicken meat began more than a month ago due to bird flu, high temperatures and a shortage of soybean meal. For this reason, it reached S/15 in many regions.

Nelli Paredes indicated that price cuts would be “gradual” across the country; He also recalled that Midagri promotes De la Chacra a la Olla markets where you can buy poultry for up to S/10.

“You can go to the Agro Rural website and find places where these markets are held weekly … They are not only in the city of Lima, but in all departments of the country,” he explained.

In La Libertad, prices will remain the same, Chamber of Commerce warns
