Market participants predict a decrease in the production of private companies due to the lack of investment by another 10% this year, if the situation does not change.
Business expects that the Cabinet of Ministers will allow partial export of natural gas at the end of the heating season in Ukraine. Such a decision would allow mining companies to invest in capacity and increase production. This was said by the CEO of the Zapadnodraservice group of companies, Stepan Kozitsky, in a commentary in Forbes magazine on Thursday, April 27.
“The government can allow at least 50% to be exported, and the rest will be pumped into storage facilities. This will be enough for next winter,” said Kozitsky.
Due to the war in 2022, the production of private companies fell by 16% to 4.2 billion cubic meters.
Kozitsky and other market participants predict a decrease in the production of private companies due to the lack of investment by another 10% this year if the situation does not change.
Recall that Ukraine has increased gas production in one of the old fields. To unlock all possibilities, 10 more wells are drilled.
It was also learned that Ukrnafta is preparing to activate 500 idle wells.
