Goods worth $2.6 billion were imported from China, and goods worth $1.5 billion were exported to Poland.
In the first quarter of this year, trade turnover reached $25.8 billion, which is 7% less than the same period in 2022. This was reported by the press center of the State Customs Service.
In the first quarter, Ukraine imported goods worth $15.5 billion and exported goods worth $10.3 billion. At the same time, taxable imports reached $12.5 billion, which is 80% of the total volume of imported goods.
The countries that import the most goods to Ukraine are China – $2.6 billion, Poland – $1.6 billion and Germany – $1.1 billion.
Ukraine exported most of all to Poland – $1.5 billion, China – $1 billion, Romania – $997 million.

Of the total volume of goods imported in January-March 2023, 71% were the following categories of goods:

machinery, equipment and transportation – 4.4 billion dollars (during the customs clearance of these goods, 27.8 billion hryvnias were paid to the budget, which is 27% of customs payment receipts);

fuel and energy products – 3.6 billion dollars (during the customs clearance of these goods, 23.3 billion hryvnias were paid to the budget, which is 23% of customs payment receipts);

products of the chemical industry – 2.8 billion dollars (during the customs clearance of these goods, 19.7 billion hryvnias were paid to the budget, which is 19% of customs payments).
At the same time, the top three most exported goods from Ukraine include:

food products – $6.7 billion;

metals and products from them – $929 million;

machinery, equipment and transportation – $812 million.
UAH 333.1 million was paid to the budget during the customs clearance of the export of goods on which an export duty is set.
Recall that in February the export of Ukrainian goods increased, but there is a threat to it – the rejection of our products by Eastern European countries.
Ukraine took the initiative to hold a trilateral meeting with the participation of the European Commission and five EU countries to resolve problems with the import of agricultural products.
