Gae Aulenti’s Locus Solus chair, reimagined by Simon Port Jacquemus. Jacques:
With this capsule collection of furniture and interiors, available this spring, designer Simon Porte Jacquemus pays tribute to renowned Italian architect and designer Gae Aulenti.
After fashion, Simon Porte Jacquemus moved into interior design. Passionate about art and decoration, the designer from the south of France designed his first collection dedicated to the home, called Objects, which was released in mid-April. For the occasion, Jacquemus collaborates with Exteta and offers a colorful reissue of the famous Locus Solus chair by Italian architect Gae Aulenti. This capsule collection offers exclusive leather accessories, a selection of original prints by photographer Lucien Clerg and rare books selected by the designer to pay tribute to his favorite artists.
Leather in the spotlight
Jacquemus offers several leather goods, such as the L’assiette, in cowhide dyed pink or yellow with white stitching. This herbal tan cloth is naturally cured. The collection also offers a yellow dyed smooth cowhide tray with brown handles covered in beige stitching. Finally we find the “Flower Pot”, very original because it is also leather.
