For the period from January to March, deliveries of liquefied natural gas in the country reached 11.6 thousand tons, of which 99.7% came from the Russian Federation.
In the first quarter of 2023, the volume of liquefied natural gas supplied from Russia to Georgia increased by more than 87% compared to the same period last year. This was announced on April 19 by the Georgian Union of Oil Products Importers.
It was noted that for the period from January to March, supplies of liquefied gas in the country reached 11.6 thousand tons, which is 5.42 thousand tons, that is, 87.7% more than the same indicator last year.
At the same time, 99.7%, that is, 11.56 thousand tons of all imported liquefied gas, is supplied from Russia.
Also, according to the organization, in the first three months of 2023, the import of bitumen oil increased by 144.7%, amounting to 25.2 thousand tons.
Most of the bitumen is supplied from Russia – 56.7%. Iraq is second among importers (20.2%), Turkey is third (18.3%), followed by Azerbaijan (4.8%).
It was previously reported that against the background of competition in the Russian Federation, the US authorities approved the export of liquefied natural gas from Alaska.
