The establishment of new tariffs is important for the preparation of the generation for the new autumn-winter season, German Galushchenko said.
The Ukrainian authorities are still discussing the issue of setting new electricity tariffs for the population. Energy Minister German Galushchenko said this at a press conference in Kyiv on Tuesday, April 18.
“The issue is still being discussed. But what is not written now – both UAH 6/kWh and UAH 8/kWh. We will see,” said the minister.
Galushchenko emphasized that the establishment of new tariffs is important for the preparation of generation for the new autumn-winter season (AWP).
“This may be one of the solutions for the restoration of the energy system. Because there is no single solution. The fact that we maintain the system is a huge challenge. The repair campaign is important to pass the next OZP,” said the minister.
Recall that in October 2022, the Cabinet of Ministers set electricity prices for the population until the end of the heating season at UAH 1.44/kWh and UAH 1.68/kWh, depending on the amount of consumption.
And in March it was learned that the government has extended these tariffs until at least April 30 of this year.
