Ukraine produces enough electricity to meet the needs of consumers. This is facilitated by the current flood.
Ukraine began exporting electricity to Slovakia and maintained supplies to Poland and Moldova. This was reported by Ukrenergo on Monday, April 17.

“At the moment, the export of electricity to Slovakia (200 MW per hour) has started, the export to Poland (75 MW per hour) and Moldova (99-134 MW at different times). – 4 MW every different time),” the message said.
At the same time, it was noted that in Ukraine itself, electricity generation is sufficient to cover the needs of consumers. This is facilitated by the current flood. The water level is higher than in previous years. Hydroelectric power plants operate day and night and, to reduce the effects of flooding, carry out controlled water releases, which makes it possible to reduce the level in the reservoirs of Kiev and Kanevsky.
The difficult situation in energy supply remains on the front line. Yesterday, as a result of the damage to the networks by the Russian attack, Kherson and part of the region were temporarily de-energized. Power engineers immediately resumed electricity.
Today the restoration of the energy system continues after the massive attack by the Russians. The priority is to improve power reliability.
before Correspondent.net wrote in detail where the big water in Ukraine came from this year. It was also reported that there has been no such flood in the country for 10 years.
