The price of gutted chicken increased by 13.5% in 24 cities in Peru last month, according to the National Institute of Statistics and Informatics (INEI).

Latest data from the Ministry of Agrarian Development and Irrigation (midagri) indicate that over the past seven days, the price of chicken in the markets of metropolitan Lima has averaged SGD 12.19 per kilogram.
Even the price of gutted poultry in Lima was up to SGD 12.47 per kilogram until last Wednesday, with an average weight of 2.60 kg. This means that a whole chicken can cost around S/32.
On the other hand, in the markets wholesalers the average price of chicken is S$8.53/kg, up 3.5% from a week ago.
And in the case of eggs, the average wholesale market price is S$9.18 per kilo.
Price in Arequipa
Midagri also points out that the average price of chicken in Arequipa is SGD 13 per kilogram in retail markets, with an average weight of 2.90 kg. That is, the whole bird costs about S / 37.70.
At the wholesale level price the average chick is S/9.12, slightly below what was recorded a few weeks ago.
