The European Commission has already announced two grant proposals aimed at supporting Ukrainian entrepreneurs.
As part of the EU Single Market program, Ukrainian businesses will receive 7.5 million euros from the European Commission. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Economy.
“The European Commission has already announced two grant proposals aimed at supporting Ukrainian entrepreneurs. The initiatives have the common name ReadyForEU and a total budget of 7.5 million euros,” the statement said.
It is reported that, in particular, we are talking about the Business Bridge initiative with a budget of 4.5 million euros. The initiative will provide financial support to Ukrainian small and medium-sized businesses affected by the war (including displaced Ukrainian companies now working in the EU). The purpose of the proposal is to create a Business Support Consortium that will select up to 1,500 Ukrainian SMEs that will transfer aid of up to 2,500 euros to them.
Another initiative “Erasmus for Young Entrepreneurs – Ukraine” with a budget of 3 million euros will allow new Ukrainian entrepreneurs to gain experience doing business in European countries. It is reported that 430 new Ukrainian entrepreneurs will be able to take advantage of this opportunity.
“The Single Market Program of the European Union is a 7-year EU financial support program with a budget of 4.2 billion euros (from 2021 to 2027). Ukraine will participate in parts of the Program as strengthening of competitiveness and sustainability of small and medium – size of businesses (about 1 billion euros), as well as the creation and dissemination of high-quality European statistics (about 546 million euros), which will provide the opportunity to provide various forms of support in business and allow Ukraine to participate in an expanded partnership aimed at developing new statistics in Europe using multiple data sources, advanced data analysis methods, intelligent systems and digital technologies.
Earlier it was reported that Ukraine will receive UAH 367 million from USAID for the processing of agricultural products.
