“Ukraine continues to export electricity to Europe with priority provision of Ukrainian consumers and excess electricity production in the energy system. This decision was made by the Ministry of Energy on Friday, April 8,” said the message.
It is indicated that Ukrenergo has already conducted the first auction for the distribution of the capacity of interstate networks for the export of electricity to Moldova on the day of delivery on April 11. As a result of the auction, 51% (330 out of 650 MW) of all available network capacity in this direction is distributed among four participants.
“Due to the war in Ukraine and the risks associated with it, access to interstate crossings is distributed only for a short time in daily auctions,” Ukrenergo said.
In addition, an auction will be held today for the distribution of 80 MW of interstate crossing capacity in the direction of Poland for the delivery date of April 12. The possibility of opening exports to Slovakia was also agreed.
Earlier, Ukrenergo predicted that there would be no shortage in the energy system in the next six months. For more than a month, the generation runs with a power reserve.
