More than UAH 40 billion was allocated for social payments in March – Ministry of Finance

Of these, 22.7 billion hryvnias were directed to the financial provision of pensions, the Ministry of Finance said.

In January-March 2023, UAH 117.3 billion was allocated from the state budget for social payments, including UAH 40.7 billion in March. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Finance of Ukraine.

Funds are sent to:

  • 68 billion Hryvnia – to finance the payment of pensions, allowances and increases in pensions assigned under pension programs, and the deficit of the Pension Fund, of which in March – 22.7 billion Hryvnia;

  • 25.8 billion Hryvnia – for social protection of citizens who find themselves in difficult life circumstances, where in March – 9 billion Hryvnia;

  • 17.2 billion Hryvnia – in support of low-income families and the provision of housing benefits and subsidies to citizens, where in March – 6.6 billion Hryvnia;

  • 6 billion Hryvnia – for social protection of children and families, of which in March – 2.1 billion Hryvnia;

  • UAH 0.3 billion – for social protection of disabled people, where in March – UAH 0.3 billion.

It was previously reported that in Ukraine, none of the programs of social payments have been reduced or stopped against the backdrop of the ongoing war – international partners are helping Kyiv.
