The hryvnia exchange rate on the cash market continued to grow against the dollar for the second day in a row and passed an important psychological milestone. RBC-Ukraine reported this with reference to market monitoring data on Tuesday, April 4.
So, in exchange offices, the dollar exchange rate for sale fell by 30 kopecks to 37.70 hryvnia per dollar, and the euro exchange rate fell by 30 kopecks to 40.55 hryvnia per euro.
Today, in the cash market, the average dollar exchange rate in Ukraine is:
purchase – UAH 37.10 (37.40 – April 3)
sale – UAH 37.70 (38.00 – April 3) per dollar.
The average euro exchange rate is:
purchase – 39.85 UAH (40.15 – April 3),
sale – 40.55 UAH (40.85 – April 3) per euro.
The official fixed rate of the NBU is UAH 36.5686 per dollar (effective from July 21, 2022). At the same time, the euro exchange rate increased slightly on April 4 and was at 39.761 hryvnia per euro (+0.0237 hryvnia).
Remember, following the results of March, Ukrainians reduced the purchase of foreign currency in banks. Demand for non-cash money is also fragmented.
It was also reported that following the March results, the NBU sold the lowest currency in four months.
