Last week, access to “Drought Bonus”, but the Ministry of Agrarian Development and Irrigation (Midagri) decided to extend the collection period until April 25.
Subsidy, also called “Restore Now Bonus”, started shipping a few months ago due to the impact of lack of rain on crops and animals in some regions during 2022.
The Midagri subsidy is available to producers registered with the Register of Agricultural Producers who have up to four hectares and no more than 12 head of cattle.
When farmers a bonus of S$800 is given per hectare, and in the case of alpaca breeders, they are awarded S$266 per head of alpaca.
To date, about 193,000 beneficiaries have already received the bonus, but more than 11,500 people are waiting to be paid, who must apply to the Banco de la Nación agency to receive the money.
Requirements for a “dry bond”
To access the bonus, farmers they should have as crops: rice, garlic, cotton, peas, coffee, sweet potatoes, onions, beans, castilla beans, palo beans, zarandaja beans, chickpeas, beans, lettuce, lentils, lemon, hard yellow corn, starchy corn, corn corn, tangerine, mango, apple, passion fruit, orange, olive, olluco, pallar, avocado, potato, cucumber, pineapple, banana, quinoa, tarvee, tomato, wheat, vine, cassava, carrot and pumpkin.
