Our country can make a significant contribution to the post-war energy security system in Europe, believes Maxim Timchenko.
Post-war Ukraine could become a major exporter of clean energy to the European Union. This was said by the CEO of DTEK Maxim Timchenko in an interview published the previous day.

According to him, Ukraine can make a significant contribution to the post-war energy security system in Europe.
The head of the company recalled that DTEK presented the 30 to 2030 initiative at the World Economic Forum last year in Davos. The goal of the initiative is to have 30 GW of renewable energy capacity in Ukraine by 2030.
“This will be an important part of the plan for the post-war reconstruction of Ukraine and the main driving force behind Ukraine’s economic development,” Timchenko said.
The CEO emphasized that 30 GW of green energy will allow Ukraine to achieve a 50% share in the capacity structure. At the same time, 15 GW of clean energy can be exported to the EU in the form of electricity and clean hydrogen.
In addition, Timchenko called on international companies to join the coalition of those who want to restore Ukraine’s ecological future.
Recall that on December 28, President Volodymyr Zelensky, in his message to the Verkhovna Rada, said that Ukraine should be a leader in the development of modern green energy, as well as a hub for the export of green electricity and hydrogen in the EU.
And Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal said that Ukraine plans to actively use the potential of renewable energy and develop a decentralized energy system. So he is less vulnerable to enemy attacks.
