“This is a very good result, especially considering that the field where the well was drilled has been working for 45 years and has been depleted by 85%. This was made possible thanks to the use of modern techniques to development of the field,” said Alexei Chernyshev, head of Naftogaz.
In particular, when designing a well using a 3D field model, specialists have identified a promising section of the productive formation of the field, which has not yet been developed.
The results of drilling a new well gave reason to plan the drilling of another well in this area of the field.
“Last year, we reformed our team of geologists and developers, reviewed the processes and strengthened them with powerful specialists with experience in international companies. We are already seeing the results. The results will be important achieved in this field and some other recent discoveries in geological ingredients for increasing gas production this year,” said the acting director. Remember, Naftogaz announced a record speed of drilling gas wells. Gas producers are losing gas production rates in eastern Ukraine, but are systematically increasing them in the west.
