Today the company is one of the five leaders in the cement industry in Russia. From 2016 to 2021, the Russian division of Buzzi Unicem pays taxes and other payments to the Russian budget in the amount of UAH 62 million. It is noted that it is, for example, the cost of 206 missiles Point Uwho was attacked by the enemy at the railway station in Kramatorsk.
“In particular, Buzzi Russia cooperates with the Russian Ministry of Defense and supplies its products to the largest state-controlled enterprises, such as Rosneft, whose leadership is under sanctions and has close ties to the president of Russia and Rosatom, involved in worldwide threats of a possible nuclear tragedy at the Zaporozhye NPP,” the statement said.
Also, according to available information, the company expresses great gratitude to its mobilized employees on Russian social networks. Thus, subsidiary SLK Cement sent supplies to the Russian artillery unit, which included Buzzi employees, NAPC added.
“Not a single shareholder has openly condemned Buzzi Russia’s participation in the Russian war and has not called on the company to abandon Russian business. Thus, the continuation of Buzzi Unicem’s operations in Russia means supporting and sponsoring terrorism in Russian Federation,” the message said.
It will be recalled that earlier NAPC included the French corporation Auchan in the list of international sponsors of the war.
