Viva Air has stopped international flights due to financial problems and awaiting a response from Colombian Civil Aviation, but what will happen to the passengers?

Latam Airlines Peru announced that it has provided seats on direct flights from Lima for passengers on regular flights of the Colombian airline Viva Air.

Latam Peru said in a statement that following reports of an indefinite suspension flying Viva Air offers “free protection” to its passengers.

“We are providing passengers who have been flying on a scheduled flight with a designated airline in the next 3 days with seats that are available on our direct flights from Lima on the same affected routes,” he said.

Esro will apply to passengers whose departure date flight from Monday, February 27 to Thursday, March 2, 2023, and who have purchased tickets before the aforementioned Monday.

Sky Airlines

Sky Airlines has announced that Viva Air passengers flying from February 28 to March 2 on routes from Lima to Cusco or from Cusco to Lima will be able to access the free seats that the company has.

“In order to carry out this management, victims must come to our service desks in airports from Lima and Cusco, present your boarding pass or travel ticket with the Viva Air booking code for flights on the dates indicated.

Once your documents have been verified, the Sky team will issue you a new boarding pass to complete your flight.

Avianca

Colombian airline Avianca announced that it has voluntarily made its network of routes and locations available to affected Viva users so they can complete their travel plans.

This support will apply to passengers who have confirmed tickets or bookings for February 27th, 28th and March 1st and will be transferred free of charge on a first-come, first-served basis to available Avianca flights.

Avianca adds that interested customers can request their protection directly from airports.
