Russia cut off oil supplies to Poland through the Druzhba pipeline

The cessation of supplies will not affect Polish consumers. Only 10% of the oil comes from Russia.

Pumping oil from Russia through an oil pipeline friendship stopped in Poland. This was announced by Daniel Obaitek, CEO of the largest oil company in Poland Orlen, in Twitter on Saturday, February 25th.

According to him, Russia has stopped oil supplies to Poland, but the company is ready for this. Disruption of supplies will not affect consumers.

“We are effectively ensuring the supply of raw materials. Only 10% of the raw materials come from Russia, and we will replace it with oil from other directions. This is the effect of the diversification that we have carried out recently year,” said Obaitek.

Russian oil is pumped through the pipeline friendship in Poland, Germany, Hungary, Czech Republic and Slovakia.

Earlier, Orlen said it would not renew the contract for the supply of Russian oil, which expires in January this year.

Recall that in October last year in the Polish section of the pipeline friendship a leak has occurred. The oil supply line to Germany was damaged. Polish authorities said Russia may have been behind the accident.
