At least nine complaints have been filed in recent months, totaling $14 million.
Twitter Inc. faced a growing list of claims for unpaid bills after Elon Musk took over the company. Landlords, consultants and suppliers have filed at least nine lawsuits, The Wall Street Journal reported on Feb.
It noted that the total value of the claims exceeded $14 million plus interest.

Three lawsuits relate to office space, including the company’s headquarters in San Francisco. The landlord claims to have missed nearly $6.8 million in rent for December and January.
Canary LLC, a marketing company that specializes in logo merchandise, said in a lawsuit filed in January that Twitter owed it nearly $400,000 for various products, including a $7,000 “Elon gift box”.
Some of the remaining fees are related to the work the company did to close the deal with Musk himself.
For example, Twitter executives arranged charter flights from New Jersey to San Francisco and back for CMO Leslie Burland. After the deal closed, Marty O’Neill, Twitter’s head of global strategic search, wrote to Private Jet Services Group LLC that Twitter would not pay for the flights.
The lawsuit in the matter for $197,725 was filed last December in federal court in New Hampshire.
The publication recalled that Musk, who gained control of Twitter, quickly implemented tighter spending controls. His career has had near financial collapses, especially at Tesla, but he has dealt with them by partly putting pressure on suppliers and retailers to make saving money a priority.
Since the end of October, Twitter has drastically cut its staff and cut most of its spending, including food at its headquarters.
Last year, the company said it owed $239 million mostly for office space and data centers.
