The visit of the head of the fund to Kyiv may be connected with work on a new IMF program for Ukraine.
IMF Director Kristalina Georgieva arrived on a visit to Kyiv. This was announced by People’s Deputy Oleksiy Goncharenko on Telegram on Monday, February 20.
Interfax-Ukraine also clarified that Georgieva’s arrival was confirmed by another good source.
At the same time, there is still no official information about the visit of the IMF director.
As you know, last week Ukraine complied with the requirements of the IMF. Representatives of Ukraine and the Fund reached an agreement to revise the Monitoring Program with the participation of the Board of Directors.
It was also reported that in February Ukraine intends to raise more than $2 billion.
