Neil Mohan, Deputy Susan Wojcicki, will be the new head of Google’s video division.
YouTube CEO Susan Wojcicki is stepping down after nine years at the helm of Google’s video division. This was reported on February 16 by Bloomberg.
Wojcicki said on her blog that she plans to “start a new chapter” by focusing on family, health and personal projects.
He will also play an advisory role while working for Google and parent company Alphabet Inc.
The post of the head of YouTube will be Neil Mohan – another old-timer of Google, who is responsible for the products and policy of video hosting.
“The time was right and I feel like I can do it because we have an incredible leadership team at YouTube,” Wojcicki said.
The agency recalled that Susan was one of Google’s oldest employees and one of the most popular female leaders in Silicon Valley.
Lending his garage to the company’s founders, he became an early marketing manager and rose through the ranks in Google’s advertising business before joining YouTube in 2014.
It was previously reported that Netflix founder Reed Hastings is stepping down as chief executive officer, a position he has held for 25 years.
