The mission of the International Monetary Fund began to work within the framework of the first revision of the Monitoring Program for Ukraine. Interfax-Ukraine reported this on Monday, February 13.
“The IMF mission led by Gavin Gray is starting discussions today with representatives of the Ukrainian authorities to prepare for the revision of the Monitoring Program with the participation of the Board of Directors,” said Vahram Stepanyan, the permanent IMF representative in Ukraine.
Earlier it was reported that in March of this year, the IMF may provide a multi-year aid package to Ukraine for $16 billion. At the same time, the fund has put new conditions for Ukraine to provide loans.
By the end of January, the media reported that Ukraine had fulfilled almost all the requirements of the IMF program.
