After 20 years of existence, the social network reached the mark of two billion daily users.
The number of active users of the social network Facebook reached two billion a day. This was reported by Engadget, citing Meta’s fourth quarter earnings report.
This report marks the first time that Facebook, which added 16 million users last quarter, has reached two billion daily users.
It says that while Facebook is not the first platform to reach two billion daily users – WhatsApp recently crossed the two billion DAU mark – it shows that the company’s biggest source of advertising revenue continues which is growing even as Meta significantly shrinks its business.
CEO Mark Zuckerberg hinted at the company’s recent restructuring that saw the elimination of more than 11,000 jobs, saying “our management theme for 2023 is the Year of Excellence.”
