This platform should provide predictable and rhythmic budget support to Ukraine in 2023.

The first meeting of the financial coordination platform of donors (“financial Ramstein”) was held, in which Ukraine and allied countries took part. Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal announced this on Telegram on Thursday, January 26.

According to the head of the Cabinet of Ministers, during the meeting in an online format, he announced the main tasks, namely:

  • Provides predictable, rhythmic budget support in 2023. There is already assistance from the United States and the European Union for 10 billion dollars and 18 billion euros, respectively. Ukraine hopes to finance the difference in the deficit with IMF assistance.

  • Plan and ensure the beginning of the restoration of Ukraine. Four priorities have been identified on this issue: energy recovery, humanitarian demining, housing, critical and social infrastructure.

  • Coordination of financial instruments to support the economy and private sector (war risk insurance, public-private partnership, assistance in financing projects to support small businesses).

“I thank the allies for supporting Ukraine and helping to find new effective ways of uniting our state,” Shmyhal added.
