116 companies from Switzerland, USA, China, Germany, Great Britain, Japan, Israel and other countries were spotted in the Almaz-Antey concern tenders.
Despite sanctions imposed in 2014 against Russia’s large arms Almaz-Antey concern, many Western companies continue to supply it with their products. This was announced on Facebook on Tuesday, May 3, by Dmitry Dubilet, a businessman and former Minister of the Cabinet of Ministers, who, after the start of the war, was engaged in measuring the business of sanctions against the Russian Federation.
According to him, 116 companies from Switzerland, USA, China, Czech Republic, Germany, Great Britain, Japan, Israel, Taiwan and other countries were spotted in the Almaz-Antey concern tenders. There are well-known brands like Huawei, Peugeot, Canon, Toyota, Samsung, Asus, Acer, Hewlett-Packard, Dell, LG, Nvidia and others.
“Almaz-Antey is a major Russian military company that produces Buki, S-300, S-400, S-500 and other weapons. It has been under sanctions since 2014, but many businesses in the West continued to provide it with their products until recently, ”Dubilet wrote.
He stressed that it is necessary “to achieve understanding from the West that individual sanctions do not work.” Dubilet has published a full file with acquisition details and a list of such companies – it can be viewed at the link.
Recall that the European Union may approve the sixth package of sanctions against the Russian Federation at the next meeting of the EU Council for Foreign Affairs. The dates were announced by the head of European diplomacy, Josep Borrell.
