Renewed protests due to election advance result in S$672 million daily sales loss in Amazonas, Apurimac, Arequipa, CuscoMother of God and Fistaccording to Lima Chamber of Commerce.
The sectors most affected are trade, where losses reach S$170 million, followed by mining and hydrocarbons (SG$161 million) and finally services (SG$149 million).
Oscar Chavez, head of the Institute for Economics and Business Development (Iedep) of the Lima Chamber of Commerce, explained that the calculations are based on potential sales.

Regions affected by the restriction of public investment
Cusco tops the list of regions hardest hit by the demonstrations with S$12.4 million missing, followed by Arequipa with S$5.8 million missing, and S$5.5 million in Puno.
The SGD 3.8m investment was also discontinued in Apurimac, followed by Amazonas where SGD 2.7m is no longer spent and SGD 1.3m in Madre de Dios.
