The Ministry of Agrarian Development and Irrigation (Midagri) announced that next week the first group of farmers will be able to see the list of recipients of the Drought Bonus.
Midagri owner Nelly Paredes confirmed this bonus to be given agricultural producers from the south and central highlands, affected by drought, will be at least S / 800.
“Maximum in a week, the first list of preferential farmers will appear, who will charge 800 soles per hectare, maximum 3200 soles. In the case of our brothers who grow alpaca, 266 soles per head, a maximum of 12 heads,” commented at a recent press conference.
Paredes also noted that work is underway on Fertiabono so that farmers can buy the fertilizer they need for this agricultural campaign.
Another announcement made by the minister was that Agrorural is identifying projects to start with planting and harvesting water “in order to fulfill the budget that we have approved, as far as possible, before May of this year.”
