The Economic Court of Zaporizhia region opened a bankruptcy case against PJSC Metallurgical Plant Azovstal in Mariupol, Donetsk region. The preparatory meeting is scheduled for March 20, 2023, Interfax-Ukraine reports on Friday, December 23.

According to company information in the NSMSC disclosure system, the bankruptcy case was initiated by PJSC Zaporozhogneupor, the reason being the seizure and destruction of Azovstal, and as a result, the impossibility of fulfilling obligations to creditors. The court appointed Elena Bugulyan as the arbitration manager, the message said.
Earlier, the same court opened the bankruptcy case of MMK named after Ilyich in the claim of AKHZ, scheduling the preparatory hearing for February 27, 2023. Aleksey Sokol was appointed Arbitrator.
It was previously reported that the SCM company will rebuild Mariupol’s destroyed metallurgical plants after it was liberated from the Russian occupiers. The company stressed that “never under any circumstances” its factories will not operate under working conditions.
