USA will continue to fight “indirectly” against Russia “until the last Ukrainian”, said on Thursday Kremlin commenting on the visit of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky to USA.

“Evidence that the United States will continue its de facto policy and indirectly fight Russia to the last Ukrainian,” Russian presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov said at his daily press conference.

Peskov noted that Kremlin They closely followed the information related to Zelensky’s visit to Washington.

“At this point, we can regret that neither President (US, Joe) Biden, nor President Zelensky have said a word that could be perceived as a willingness to listen to concerns. Russia”, he claimed.

In addition, he added, “there was not a word to prevent Zelensky from continuing the barbaric shelling of houses in the settlements of Donbass.”

There were no “real calls for peace, not in front of the gallery, but real ones,” Peskov said.

Russia warns against escalation with ‘hard to imagine consequences’

Russian Ambassador to USAAnatoly Antonov confirmed that the US actions are escalating “consequences that are hard to imagine,” referring to the support provided on Wednesday to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky during his visit to Washington.

“Despite our warnings, Patriot anti-aircraft missile systems will be sent to Kyiv,” the diplomat said in a statement compiled by Russia’s official TASS news agency regarding Washington’s announcement of deliveries of such weapons to Ukraine.

He emphasized that Russia at all levels, he has repeatedly “appeal to common sense and emphasized that the provocative actions of the United States inevitably lead to an escalation of consequences that are difficult to imagine.”

“Therefore, the controversy over the hypothetical supply of ATACMS missiles and long-range drones to Ukrainians is of deep concern,” Antonov said of weapons capable of attacking targets in Russia, which Ukraine demands and has so far refused.

The ambassador stressed that Zelensky’s “Hollywood-style visit” to Washington “conclusively confirmed that the administration’s (US) conciliatory statements about its lack of intention to confront Russia These are just empty words.”

“According to thunderous applause and sarcastic smiles, it was actually stated that it was necessary to continue the “war for strangers” against our country, until we were completely defeated,” he said. (As reported by EFE)
