The Criminal Code of the Russian Federation is planned to be supplemented with new articles that strengthen the punishment for assistance, participation, appeal and encouragement to commit sabotage.
The State Duma of Russia in the final reading on December 21 adopted a bill introducing criminal liability up to life imprisonment for facilitating sabotage activities. This was reported by TASS.
Thus, the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation is planned to be supplemented with new articles that strengthen the punishment for assistance, involvement, calls and encouragement to commit sabotage, as well as for their financing. In addition, the practice of doing sabotage and the creation of criminal groups for this purpose will be criminally punishable.
It is known that the tendency to sabotage or recruitment will be punished from eight years to life. A fine of up to 700 thousand rubles (210 thousand UAH) is also given. For practicing sabotage, they can be sentenced to a term of 15 years to life in prison.
Recall that the ruling regime of Belarus planned to introduce the death penalty for officers and soldiers for “high treason.”
