The Minister of Energy of Ukraine Herman Galushchenko took part in the ceremony of transferring generators from the State of Israel to the institutions of the Kherson region.
Israel is moving 17 generators to provide electricity to the Kherson region. The event was also attended by the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the State of Israel to Ukraine Michael Brodsky, acting. Minister of Communities and Territories of Ukraine Vasily Lozinsky, Deputy Chairman of the Kherson Regional Administration Dmitry Rybalko, Special Representative for the Middle East and Africa Maxim Subh. This was reported by the Ministry of Energy.
So, Israel is transferring 17 generators of different powers to the Kherson region – 110 kVA, 170 kVA, 220 kVA and 250 kVA.
“We are glad that Israel has the opportunity to help Ukraine in the difficult times of the war. I wish that every Ukrainian home is bright, I wish that it does not break and stand in front of these difficult trials that have befallen Ukraine ,” Michael Brodsky emphasized. He also expressed support for the Ukrainian people from the State of Israel.
German Galushchenko thanked the Israeli side for their help.
“The transfer of these generators gives a strong force to the restoration of the region as a whole. Such support shows that everyone is united to normalize and civilize the lives of the people in the unoccupied territories, unlike of what they felt under occupation,” the minister stressed.
He noted that the situation in the occupied territories remains difficult, due to the destruction, including the energy infrastructure. Therefore, the Ministry is constantly working to restore and assist the unoccupied territories and is trying to provide them with critical equipment whenever possible. Thus, the Ministry of Energy will also send 21 generators and 24 transformers to the Kherson region received as humanitarian aid from international partners.
It should be noted that a total of 510.3 thousand electric generators were delivered to Ukraine in 2022. Almost half of them – after the abolition of duties and VAT.
