Fox News ’critics Laura Ingreham on Thursday followed suit after tweeting against the widespread student loan forgiveness that her mother worked until age 70 to pay for college tuition.
“My mother worked as a waitress for 73 years to help pay for our college, including debt repayment,” wrote Ingreham, 58, a graduate of Dartmouth College and the University of Virginia School of Law. “Debt forgiveness is another insult to those who play by the rules,” he added.
My mother worked as a waitress for 73 years to help pay for our college while also paying off a debt. Loan forgiveness is another insult to anyone playing by the rules.

President Joe Biden campaigned for student debt relief of $ 10,000 per person. This week he offered to eventually extend federal student loan payments. The Biden White House has also indicated a future executive order to cancel a certain amount of individual debt.
Conservatives are protesting the move.
Ingreham’s comments were particularly annoying, although naysayers suggested that his mother should work longer than her retirement age, suggesting that the system is “shy”, “corrupt” and in need of reform.
Good mothers day! Let’s all bury our mothers in the grave !! https://t.co/nBolXbOgZq

So, do you want more moms to work under 73 to pay off debts?

1) Do you allow your mother who is under 73 to work to pay off your debts?
2) What a good argument is student loan forgiveness. https://t.co/O2MsNAQtjE

You graduated from Dartmouth in 1985 when tuition was $ 10,000 per year. Now that’s $ 61,000 / year.
Abuse changes policies to save billionaires $ 10,000, but with destructive training and interest it empowers workers. Socialism for the rich, boots for us.

Your mother should not have gone through all this. No one should do that. Why do you want to fight with someone else? Why should a mother’s struggle be the “rule”? Your mother is an example of why we need to forgive debt. What is at stake here. https://t.co/whzy4v6qAs

And that’s the difference. We want 73-year-old mothers to work less and rest less. We want others to have a better life. We don’t need people to suffer to “feel again”. Why be cruel if you can choose to be generous and kind and help your fellow Americans? https://t.co/C7XL6TtmEA

I bet Laura’s mom wants the government to free her from 73 -year -old waiters. I bet Laura’s mom wanted it to relieve other moms. Especially since her work has led Laura to use her as a political backbone in these selfish tweets. https://t.co/OScjsF99hG

Is this a fictional system that needs to be changed? https://t.co/Ecx2EmS8BI

“Policies” should not include working for children under the age of 70 to pay for their education. This is nonsense, crazy and not really normal.
Maybe we should stop embarrassing people buried in debt from a corrupt system and instead reform the system that buried them. https://t.co/Gb7dPx7fGu

I forced my mother to work on a bad salary until she also died to approve the lesson. https://t.co/lZF6nWOYol

You are so mad at your mother, do you want others to suffer like her? What a clue.

The “rules” should not include working under 70 to pay for a child’s school fees. This is nonsense, crazy and not really normal.
