Before the arrival of Russia, this region was one of the strongest in Ukraine, and now “the Russian Federation is destroying it only for scorched earth.”
Bakhmut remains one of the hottest places on the front. At the same time, he “destroyed” not only the Russian army, but also the mercenaries, but Vladimir Putin could not be stopped even with 100 thousand lost lives of his citizens. This was announced on Monday, December 19, by the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky in his video message.
“Bakhmut remains the hottest point along the entire front line – more than 1,300 kilometers of active combat. Since May, the invaders have tried to break our Bakhmut, but time is running out, and Bakhmut is not only violating the army of Russia, but also Russian mercenaries who came to replace the missing occupying forces.
Just think: Russia has already lost almost 99 thousand of its soldiers in Ukraine. One of these days there will be 100 thousand losses of the invaders. What for? No one in Moscow has an answer to this question. And no.
They wage war and waste people’s lives – other people, not their loved ones, not their own lives, but others, and only because some groups in the Kremlin do not know how to admit mistakes and very much afraid of the truth. But the truth speaks for itself,” Zelensky said.
The President also expressed gratitude to all Ukrainian fighters who heroically held the direction of Bakhmut, Soledar, Avdiivka, Maryinka, the Kremensky direction and the entire Donbas – “a region that before the arrival of Russia was one of the strongest in Ukraine and where Russia is destroying the right to burning land.”
“Even this brutality will not give the enemy anything,” he added.
As we have already reported, Zaluzhny spoke about US requests for weapons, and also discussed the security risks posed by Russia’s massive missile attacks.
